Seems as though the odds are stacked against us this gardening season and it has been frustrating to say the very least.
1. Mother Natures late frost hissy fit wiped out pretty much everything we planted – seeds and all.
2. So we replanted and not much grew…not even the Dill which breaks my heart.
3. And the rain, which we shouldn’t complain about, has made it rather difficult to weed what’s left of the garden because it’s one big mud puddle.
4. Holy Dina the weeds! 3 footers I swear. I think we’re officially weed farmers…and I don’t mean Mary Jane. Seriously, the weed situation…it’s not a good one.
5. But the mosquitos! They’re the size of humming birds for goodness sake! And there’s one million of them, no joke!
6. Blush, I still have pepper plants to put in… shame on me :(
It’s been a tough June. Mother Nature you owe us! We just need one good day. Sunshine. Nice breeze. No humidity. No bugs! And a handful of volunteers (Beer will be provided).
